Chapter 1029 – A Shocking Wish

Hm… This wish was something Lin Yi could consider helping Xiaoxiao achieve. It wasn’t too overboard, after all, and he was capable of fulfilling it!

Only now did Lin Yi understand that Xiaoxiao didn’t race because she was a rebellious teenager or anything, it was because she had a dream of becoming a professional racer!

Yes, everyone had their dreams when they were kids… But as they got older, those dreams dry up…

What was Lin Yi’s dream back then, at the beginning?

Farming? With a nice mountain spring and some land?

Yes, Lin Yi’s dream was simple back then when he lived with his old man. He didn’t think he’d become an assassin in the future, and he never considered what sort of life he’d have…

He thought he’d be the same as all the other farmer boys with him, like Er Goudan, farming and selling crops…

But when he got older, he started doing different types of simple and difficult missions… And his dream just disappeared.

That busy life of missions was all he’d ever known, and sometimes when he was resting, he’d chill with his old man or chat with Goudan- that was the most laid back moments of his life.

He got older still, and so did Goudan.

Because of his old man, his fate changed- he was never to become a farmer, while Goudan, because of Lin Yi’s change of fate, was destined not to become a normal farmer… Instead, a farmer at his old home!

Thinking of Goudan, Lin Yi started to miss him. It had been a while. Did his spring crops grow out yet? It was that time, wasn’t it? He wanted to give him a phone call sometime, ask him to come to Songshan…

The life Lin Yi had led until this point… The most laid back time, other than his childhood, was the life he was living now. There was food, and there were pretty girls. Dangers lurked about, but Lin Yi had accepted that.

Even so, he felt that his life was much more solid than Xiaoxiao’s! His fate wasn’t certain, and he moved around, but he had a friend like Er Goudan. Goudan might be a bit slow in the head, and a bit reckless, but he liked him.

He was a straightforward man, after all, and whatever Lin Yi said to him he would only respond with a ‘haha’, and never spread it to others.

So Lin Yi never hid anything when it came to Goudan, and Goudan himself was a very loyal listener.

Lin Yi suddenly remembered that he didn’t have much time left- he was supposed to be reading these wishes!

He quickly recorded this wish with a picture and went to the next one.

“I want to know what it’s like to be in love, to have a caring boyfriend… I’m so jealous of other couples… But I can’t drag anybody down! My lover will be so sad if I die!”

But the wish split into two parts- this one was from one or two years ago, and there was a note under this wish, made recently!

“I’ve decided, I’ll be in a relationship with Lin Yi! This was what he got for peeing on me, and using fireworks on my butt! I’ll have my revenge! I’ll let him fall in love with me, and then I’ll die- he’ll be so sad! Good luck, Xiaoxiao!”

Lin Yi looked at the wish and sweated a bit. So this was why he felt Xiaoxiao was acting weird, suddenly liking him when she was supposed to be hating him? He knew that the change was too drastic. He looked at the date- it was the day when she suddenly changed her attitude…

But there were more notes under the note! Lin Yi couldn’t help but sigh after reading it.

“So this is what being in love feels like? It’s so nice… I wish I could live on…”

This was yesterday night when the note was made- Lin Yi felt his heart drop heavily.

It was already obvious: Xiaoxiao’s intention of revenge had already shifted… She wanted to live on, revenge wasn’t something she dwelled on anymore.

Lin Yi smiled bitterly. Xiaoxiao had probably gotten in too deep, and started to like him for real!

But this wish was technically fulfilled, and so Lin Yi didn’t spend too much time thinking about it.

It didn’t matter why Xiaoxiao decided to like him at the beginning, but Lin Yi could understand and tolerate that! Thinking of her fate in life, Lin Yi didn’t think she was going too overboard with the things she used to do!

After all, if it were Chen Yushu, for example… She’d be going crazy, bent on revenge if she got peed on, let alone if she got fireworks set on her butt!

Xiaoxiao wanting to use a big strategy to make Lin Yi fall in love and then fall into distraught after she died… That wasn’t a strategy at all, nor was it a revenge… It was a final lash at happiness in her life…

Lin Yi went to the next wish.

“I watched TV today, the main character and main female lead were at a beach watching the sunrise, cooking breakfast with seawater! So romantic! I want that too… Though I want to eat a poached egg!”

Lin Yi looked at this weird wish, amused. Poached egg? Watching the sunrise and eating egg? Why did it feel off? But since it was Xiaoxiao’s wish, he took a picture of it with his phone. It was one of the easier wishes, after all.

Time was running out. After closing this wish, he went to the next.

“Yu Shihan is so pretty! If I were a boy that’d be great, I’d be able to push her down…”

Lin Yi felt tired just looking at this wish- he couldn’t do anything here. Unless he went and gave her a sex change surgery?

But there was still more to this wish.

“I’ve decided. I’ll give my boyfriend this difficult task… I’ll have him push her down, and then the three of us will do a threeway… Hahaha! Xiaoxiao, you genius! But this seems like an impossible dream?”

Lin Yi almost threw the phone away- what was this stupid wish? Lin Yi felt that if Xiaoxiao were to live on, she’d be able to play a lot of things with Yushu. In some aspects, the two really had many similarities, and their mindsets were really shocking as well.

But Lin Yi still took the picture! Yes, if he had the chance, he would ask that Yu Shihan, a celebrity, if she was willing. If so, then this was a possible wish!
